Civic Cleaning is an Australian-based cleaning service, specializing in commercial, residential, and construction cleaning. Civic Cleaning offers tailored cleaning services and prioritizes the purchase of 100% certified eco-friendly cleaning and packaging products. By integrating safe, modern chemicals, Civic Cleaning’s mission is to offer a service that is safer for clients, staff members, and the environment.
The primary goal for the Civic Cleaning website redesign was to create a more user-friendly interface while still providing relevant information about the company’s services. The site should be easy to navigate, with clear and concise calls to action that lead users towards contacting the company. In addition, due to the environmentally friendly focus of Civic Cleaning, it was important to showcase this through the website design. Overall, the goal was to create a professional and trustworthy website that would appeal to both potential and existing customers.
As the UX and UI designers on the project, our role was to create a website that would meet the needs of both Civic Cleaning and its customers. We began by conducting user research in order to understand the specific needs of both the company and its target users. This included interviews with Civic Cleaning staff, as well as potential and existing customers. We also looked at competitor websites in order to understand what Civic Cleaning’s site should include, and what it could do better.
After our user research was complete, we created wireframes for the new website. These wireframes detailed the layout of each page, as well as the specific content that would be included. Once the wireframes were approved, we moved on to creating the visual design for the site. This included choosing colors, fonts, and images that would create the desired look and feel for the website.
Civic Cleaning’s one-page website was constructed and optimized. Civic Cleaning’s website-creation goal was to convey a sense of professionalism and personalization, which is achieved by featuring prominent, high-resolution images of the company’s team members. These images are juxtaposed against clean, full-width backgrounds that comprise visually alluring shades of white, black, and purple.
The website’s powerful yet light-hearted headline, “Let Us Do The Dirty Work For You”, embodies the company’s mission and its gold font is a subtle reference to quality, prestige, and sophistication.
As visitors scroll down the website, they’re met with a simple arrangement of service details and key customer benefits. The website’s layout minimises the need for elaborate homepage text and instead focuses on direct brand messaging and concise descriptions of each service. The result is a fast, light website that personifies the company’s mission, whilst encouraging visitors to reach out and make contact.
Since the website’s launch, there has been a significant increase in organic traffic and inquiries. The website has been successful in communicating Civic Cleaning’s unique selling points and services, as well as providing an easy way for potential customers to get in touch. In addition, the website’s clean design and fast loading times have resulted in a positive user experience, further contributing to the increase in traffic and inquiries. Civic Cleaning is thrilled with the results of their new website and we are proud to have played a part in its success.
